Back in the saddle
My first day back (yes, Amy, at THAT SCHOOL!! And I'm even in 504!) was great. Again, I state, it's the friendliest place on Earth. I was hugged and greeted and waved to all day long. I just love that place.
I have a lot of prep to do for the classes. I have to do it at night, mostly, and I'm really tired right now. It's 8:30. Ugh.
Quinn seems a little...off...with our new schedule. She is aware that there are big differences in our schedule, obviously, and she's starting to realize that they're permanent. Well, permanent in her eyes at least. I don't know what I'll do if the short-term sub position turns into a longer-term position...I really don't...

Oh. My. God.
Congrats. I'm angry that I'm not there, but I congradulate you!!
I hope I get the same pleasure someday!
As life works....you all will finally get use to the new schedule as you're finishing up your last week.
Hang in there, muggle through it, and you'll be glad you did!
How fantastic! And in 504 to boot! Does it still have that crappy slanted desk? Are you sandwiched between Paulette and April (I love them...please tell everyone I say HI!) I know you have absolutely NO time for sending me an email update with all the details...how do you do it--teaching AND Quinn? Remember when it was just TEACHING and it was that hard. You are awesome--have fun and teach the chickens well. Keep it all in perspective and give Fr. Bob a great big HUG from me. ;)
Im so glad your first day back went well. I hope it just gets easier and better!! Bunny will be ok.*Huggles*
Amy,
I always knew you were destined to be back in the classroom! The chickens need you: your enthusiasm, your creativity, your humor. Update frequently so I can see how things are going. Let me know if there's any English materials I can help out with. What year are the kids?
Don't worry about the playdate. We'll play in November! :)
one word - filmstrips - you'll go down in history as 'that-cool-sub-who-gave-us-filmstrips-instead-of-actually-teaching'
