Halloween
It was a busy Halloween for the little baby bunny!
Here she is yesterday at her Gymboree Halloween party. Is she not the bravest firebunny in all the land?
This is her favorite thing to do at Gymboree...stand on this mini-trampoline while I pound it until she falls. Then she staggers back up and we do it again. And again. And again.
This morning, Aunt Cinda came to spend the day with us and we went to see Grandpa, who was VERY surprised and happy to see her in her costume.
Then it was off to visit Uncle Tom at the Wonder Lake Fire Department.
He taught Quinn to shoot water out of a big hose!
Quinn was VERY interested in the interior of the truck, and didn't even look worried when he drove us down the street VERY QUICKLY with the lights and siren going. I think she may have a career in fire fighting ahead of her! I, however, look like I'm going to take a big bite out of her head.
Then it was off to see Daddy at work, where she was admired by many nice people, including the company president.
Finally, after a quick nap, it was back to Grandma's to visit with Lilly and Keegan. Aren't they the cutest things EVAH?
Whew! Someone passed out in her crib before the first Norah Jones song even finished playing.

Quinn's bday
One year ago this morning, I was...well, I was waiting to meet my newborn daughter. Damn low blood sugar!
But now she's a big bunny girl! And she eats Cheerios and likes Teletubbies and crawls like a maniac.

Happy birthday, little baby bunny!

WalMart pix
I took Quinn to WalMart today to get her picture taken. I'd like to go somewhere really nice and funky fresh for her one-year picture, but while I ponder where and when and how that will happen, I decided to take WalMart up on their $6.88 deal. A free sitting and a million pictures for that low price? Sign us up!
Well, it wasn't quite as fabulous as it sounds. What happens is you pick a backdrop (I picked black) and then the camera person takes a picture. If you like it, she stops and that's what you get. If you want her to keep going, she does, but you can't go back and take an earlier pose. You have to just forge ahead. It was all a big crapshoot--would Quinn do something really cute in future pictures? Or should I just take this one where she's smiling, yet has her arms positioned like a robot?
Anyway, here's what we ended up with:
Of course, after I picked this as my picture, she took 6 more. I can buy any of those, but it will cost a million dollars more.
Then I decided to give them $7 more to get "digital prints" of all 7 poses, which I could e-mail to family and friends or use as a screensaver. (Whoopie!) Will you please look at the crappy quality that $7 bought me?
Again with the robot arms:
This is her dolly Molly. Love the dolly Molly! Hug her! Pat her! Kiss dolly Molly!
This is Quinn thinking about how she doesn't have very many teeth.
At first I was all "No way, backdrops are cheesy!" Then I saw these and said, "Oh! I love the backdrops!" I'm such a sucker.

Ahhh well. She's a pretty bunny no matter how her arms are positioned.

Party approacheth
We're getting ready for Quinn's first birthday party on Saturday, and yes sir will I be glad when it's over. I'm not the most relaxed hostess in the world...
In other news, Quinn is still pretty sure that she's one.
And here's an action photo that Ericka took of us at Gymboree last week...
I think we might ditch tomorrow and continue with party preparations instead. Don't tell Gymbo the Clown...
