Gobble gobble!
Quinn was a *naughty monkey* at the grocery store yesterday. I can't the remember the last time I took her grocery shopping, but I know she didn't act like this!
She wanted to hold everything I was putting in the cart, and when I wouldn't let her have it she would BUCK and ARCH HER BACK and STRAIN TO GET IT. And she would SCREECH and YELL. It was a little embarrassing. And then when I'd let her hold something safe, like a bag of raisins, she'd examine it for a few minutes, then casually drop it over the side of the cart.
Also, if someone stopped to talk to her or compliment her (on what, I don't know, because I saw nothing cute about these antics) she would duck her head and look away, or she'd stare at them blankly as they tried to engage her. But the people who had no interest in her? Or gave her withering looks because she was squawking so loudly? Those people got the full treatment. BOTH HANDS WAVING. ARMS OVER HEAD, RUBBING HER HAIR FETCHINGLY. A full smile, including all 8 of her teeth. "HIIIIIIIIIIIIIHHHHH" And she wouldn't give up until they acknowledged her, or I pushed her away from the scene.
Is anything cuter than that picture?
So, she's pulling to stand on everything--tables, chairs, legs, my prone body as I'm trying to wake up in the morning and Andy's brought her in our bed to play.
She cruises around the furniture, though not quickly.
She can high-five, give obscenely wet kisses with full tongue, and say "Baxter" and "Daddy."
When she's hungry or if food crosses her mind, she says "Yum yum yum num yum num!" With her tongue sticking out. When she's eating, she says the same thing, usually as she launches her food off the tray.
She's learning to go up stairs.
She loves the Teletubbies perhaps more than me. The other day I started singing the song: "Tinky Winky! Dipsy! La la! Po!" and she whipped her head around to look at the TV, as if she was missing something.
She dances with her arms only to any music, any singing, any poorly-produced radio jingle. My girl, she has the funk!
I'm so thankful that she came to live with us, and that she's happy and healthy and gives wet kisses. She's just the best bunny.

SHE'S UP! SHE'S UP!
This morning, while playing with her new activity table, Quinn nonchalantly pulled herself up to a standing position. The hooting, screeching and clapping from my end of the room scared the crap out of her, I'm sure, but DANG! That's a huge milestone for her!
Then she transferred from the activity table over to the coffee table, which involved moving her legs to shuffle...something she usually refuses to do, even with assistance.
It was almost too much. I nearly wept.
Good bunny!
Right now she's having trouble going to sleep because there's a man here putting in a DirecTV hookup in our living room. Even Norah's not helping.

Quinn's photo shoot
Andy's birthday was this week (THANKS to everyone who sent him trade magazines! He loved them! You'll hear from him soon!), so I decided to get Quinn's picture taken with some of his best friends...
Oh yes. A stack of geeky computer books equals much hysteria and joy for the nutty bunny.
By the way, I'm sure Andy is going to re-scan these pictures as soon as he see how crazy they look. So please excuse the mysterious wavy background.
The photographer taking the picture got this far and said, "Hang on a minute. I have to get my manager. She needs to see this."
Quinn was working the camera. WORKING IT. She'd been a little crabby, especially since she'd just finished a therapy session, but the minute she realized someone was taking her picture she turned on the cheese. I think people could hear her screeching and babbling out in the mall.
"Well, you know, she does this for a living..." I told the photographer.
"Does she model, really? I believe it!"
"Um...I was kidding," I said as she batted her eyes saucily and extended her arms.
Jeez.
Andy was pleased with the results, and I ended up buying way more pictures than I had intended.
Dang bunny.
