Boo!

Quinn and her buddy Collin prepare to trick or treat. Never in the history of man has there been two more excited three-year-olds.

"I'm DORFY!" Quinn shrieked at every door. "CANDY!" Collin announced every thirty seconds. "What do you say?" we'd prompt them. "I WANT SOME CANDY!!!!!!!!" they'd answer.

Quinn doesn't even eat candy. The only type she'll let pass her lips are M&Ms.

The pictures I took turned out so poorly that I'm just going to go ahead and publish all of the good ones, regardless of how interesting they are.

"WHAT'S THAT?" Quinn demanded upon spying the gruesome spectacle below. "I DON'T WANT TO BE SCARED!"

We stopped at our friend Julie's house looking for Quinn and Collin's friend Andrew, but they were out trick or treating themselves. We stayed long enough to borrow their yard for a scenic photo shoot!

Quinn pondering what will happen to her once she plunges from this rock.

The happiest twosome in all the land.

Halloween has gone well!

Halloween has gone well. There were no tears. Quinn and Colin were troopers marching around the neighborhood trick-or-treating.

Pictures to follow.

Pumpkin

Here's Quinn getting ready to go to her friend Collin's birthday party.

Because we didn't exactly go to a pumpkin patch this year, I thought I'd take some pictures of her on our porch with our pumpkins. Quinn, look at me and smile. LOOK AT ME, PLEASE.

Yes, you can see the picture after I take it. Wait, though! Wait until I take it...WAIT!

OK, not with a cheesy smile. A nice smile. Quinn! Please smile nice!

Well, that's OK, but can you look a little less...high?

Seriously. What are you doing? Just smile at Mommy!

Third birthday party!

Quinn and her mommy and daddy are very blessed to have such warm, loving family and friends. Everyone she loves helped her to celebrate her third birthday, whether they could be here in person or not. We are grateful that she is so loved.

On with the pictures!

Just before the party started...

With our first guest, Grandma Lester!

This is Quinn's cousin Cooper, who is so handsome and boyish in his cutie patootie fresh and fruity outfit! SO CUTE WITH HIS BIG BLUE EYES!!!

Dennis and my cousin Jennifer's husband Paul talking about their favorite Lifetime movies.

"Why am I bothering taking this picture?" I asked my friend Colleen's husband Doug as I leaned over the cake. "No one cares about the cake shot. No one!" Maybe it was to capture some of the eBay decorations for posterity.

My sister Julie got ahold of Colleen's new baby, Connor, as soon as she could. Connor says, "You're nice, but you're not my godmother!"

My cousin Cathy in her native habitat, the kitchen, working her ass off. She's just the best.

Everyone is singing "Happy Birthday" to Quinn...except for Peggy...who is inexplicably examining the artwork...

Quinn and a table full of blonde children.

COLLEEN with my godson. She looks good for having a newborn, doesn't she? She's just the best.

Quinn ate her cake SO CAREFULLY so as not to mess up her Dorothy dress. I don't think I've seen her eat so neatly in all her born years.

Colleen's daughter Baylee attended wearing a white leather jacket, which reminded everyone present whose daughter she is.

"I MADE A POTATOHEAD!" Quinn shrieked, unfazed by the four eyeballs staring up at her.

My cousin Cathy's daughter Laura. Isn't this a pretty picture? She's a dreamboat.

Quinn's birthday approaches...

If you're someone who JUST got Quinn's birthday party invitation for her party that is in THREE DAYS, blame ebay. I won the auction for the box o' Wizard of Oz birthday party supplies, but it took two weeks to get here! I was holding out, hoping for the Wizard of Oz party invitations, but finally had to just go to Target and send out some other ones. Grrrrrrrr.

Quinn's favorite activity on earth is to unpack and re-pack the box of Wizard of Oz plates, streamers, party hats, loot bags, centerpieces, etc. Discuss each item. Carry it around. Show whomever is nearby. Put it back. Unpack. Repack. Examine. Gaze upon. Love. Cherish. Become one with.

We picked up her Dorothy costume from the tailor tonight, where it was being altered, and we put it on her after dinner. She sobbed at bedtime when she had to take it off.

After getting settled in bed she called for me to bring her the AWESOME Wizard of Oz dolls one of my online friends sent her.

She's wearing her costume to her party on Sunday.

I mean, would you tell her she can't?
