A Bride and Her Maids...A Pictorial Retrospective

Anne and I lived on the same floor at NIU during our freshman year. I thought she was rich because she had a lot of sweaters from the Gap and Benetton. Now she lives in Ft. Lauderdale with her husband, Eric, and she's a teacher.

Here I am thinking about sinking my fangs into her neck.

There are several hundred pictures of Anne on this page because she's the only bridesmaid who can't look at the pictures because she lives so far away. Please bear with us.

QUICKLY LOOK at my Easy Spirits! Mmm, they're nice.

I went down to see Anne just before the wedding, and we took a boat ride past Vanilla Ice's house in Miami. Probably you haven't lived until you've done that.

Colleen and I have known each other since junior high. We roomed together at NIU and used to pick through each other's dirty clothes to find things to wear. She is a nurse, and learned to take blood pressure on me.

The photographer, Mike, told us to pose for one "fun" picture in addition to one formal picture. Oh, the pressure of being fun when you're told to. Colleen decided we should make some NWO wrestling signs. I had no idea what she was doing, and worried about gangbangers coming off the golf course to get us.

Ericka lives with her husband Eric in Madison, where she cracks the whip at a television station as a news director. She is all about crafts, a trait soaked up from her mom, the Todder.

Funder is my cousin, the M of H. Everyone loves Funder! She brought Cocoa Puffs and Lucky Charms and powdered sugar doughnuts to my bachelorette party for the next morning. She's the best!

Amy and I like to get together and use big words. When she moved to Ann Arbor, I was going to follow her...until I met Andy and she met her husband Brian. It's probably best, because we spent a lot of our time together in gay bars and at Subway...nothing good can come of that.

At Sue's wedding, the photographer made her and Greg pose like this under a tree near a lake. We felt it only fitting to recreate it on my wedding day.

I've known Sue since junior high, too. Our new house is a mile from hers, and she has the cutest son in the entire world.

My niece Kaitlin was a junior bridesmaid, and she moved to California the day after the wedding. She is the only other person I know besides myself who HAS to read before she goes to bed.

Kaitlin was very patient with me in the limo that day, as my veil was blowing into her face no matter what we did with it.

Come back to Illinois, Kaitlin! Come back!

Maureen is my oldest niece and was also a junior bridesmaid. She is a freshman in high school and has turned into a really cool chick. She claims to not like Hanson anymore, but I'm not completely sold.

Cinda Pants is Andy's sister and was technically a groomsgirl. (Note that she is wearing the lovely bridesmaid frock in groomly black.) She is just about the best sister-in-law I could dream up.

Keep going to pix of Andy and I, or go back to the wedding home.
